The Oregon Justice Resource Center (OJRC) is a vital legal non-profit dedicated to advocating for criminal and civil justice reform. During my four-year tenure as their sole designer, I led a comprehensive brand evolution and executed diverse, high-impact design projects.
A Fresh Look
Balancing OJRC’s established recognition with the need for flexibile usage, I refined the core logo, introduced a variable-width type system, and developed comprehensive guidelinesto ensure consistent application across print, digital, and environmental touchpoints —modernizing the brand while preserving its recognition and authority.

System at Work
The identity system was designed for everyday clarity and trust. From business cards and stationery to internal templates and digital communications, disciplined typography, restrained color, and structured layouts create a visual language that feels credible, contemporary, and scalable across all of the organization’s needs.
Investigative & Annual Reports
OJRC’s reports are foundational advocacy tools. Through dynamic layouts, clear data visualization, and strong narrative pacing, dense legal research becomes accessible and persuasive — transforming policy findings into compelling materials that support legislative and systemic change.
JustFacts: Engaging the Public
JustFacts is a social-first public education series that translates complex criminal and civil justice issues into clear, accessible visual stories. Through animated infographics and carousel-based storytelling, the series breaks down dense legal topics into engaging, shareable content, expanding public understanding while maintaining the clarity and credibility of the OJRC brand.
A Campaign Identity System Built to Flex
SquareUp is a modular campaign identity system built to bring clarity and consistency to OJRC’s public-facing initiatives. Anchored by a bold green frame and structured typographic hierarchy, the system creates a recognizable visual container that adapts seamlessly across campaigns. “Know Your Rights” is one application of the framework, alongside others that demonstrate how SquareUp scales across topics while maintaining cohesion, impact, and brand integrity.
Advocacy in Space
For public events and community education, OJRC’s identity extends into physical space through clear, high-visibility environmental graphics. Consistent structure, bold hierarchy, and disciplined color create immediate recognition while reinforcing authority and approachability.
